Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brij Khali (ranked 7984 p4p, 2240 weight class) and Brian Ortega (ranked 573 p4p, 242 weight class). Brij Khali had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Ortega throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ortega buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Ortega connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khali shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ortega pinned against the cage. Ortega gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ortega throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Khali was covering up waiting for the punch and Ortega finishes the takedown easily into guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ortega working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ortega drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ortega as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Khali screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ortega! Nice submission victory there!
