PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Loveladdy (ranked 4379 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon McCartney (ranked 4463 p4p, 0 weight class). McCartney has chosen Suck My D*&* Ho as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCartney misses with a double jab
and Loveladdy counters with a three punch combo that has McCartney backing up. McCartney nods at Loveladdy to acknowledge the strikes.

McCartney shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Loveladdy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
McCartney remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. McCartney gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. McCartney apologises and we restart here on the feet.

McCartney shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Loveladdy's guard.
