Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Junkyard Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elliot Rockwell !
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rockwell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dog rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rockwell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dog throws a hook but Rockwell blocks it.
Dog has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Helsinki Private Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Dog explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Dog lands with a good body shot.
Rockwell lands a nice hook to Dog's body. Dog takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Dog moves into the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rockwell just misses with a elbow thrown towards Dog's brow.

Dog is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rockwell can't fight it off and eventually Dog manages to take the fight to the floor. Rockwell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dog trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Rockwell controls Dog momentarily but Dog frees himself.

Dog looks to land a strike but Rockwell avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Dog throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dog accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dog postures up in Rockwell 's guard and throws a big left but Rockwell blocks it.
Dog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rockwell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dog pushing down on Rockwell 's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Dog is looking to advance position but Rockwell won't allow it.
Dog slips a nice elbow through Rockwell 's hands, connecting with Rockwell 's forehead.

Rockwell is looking to control Dog's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rockwell avoid being mounted?
Dog passes to full mount!
Rockwell takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Dog sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Dog looking to ground and pound but Rockwell is blocking nicely.
Dog has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rockwell 's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dog throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Dog throws some wild stikes that Rockwell manages to avoid easily.
Dog throwing strikes here but Rockwell is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Rockwell suckers Dog into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Rockwell is now in Dog's guard!
Rockwell is stalling in the full guard.

Dog looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rockwell has picked Dog up and slammed him! Dog can't keep hold of the triangle and Rockwell manages to pass to side control!
Dog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dog is letting Rockwell control him for a moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dog manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Dog is looking to improve his position.
Dog is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rockwell jumps into side control!

Rockwell gets to mount! Dog was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Dog bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Dog postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dog tries to free his leg and advance position but Rockwell is retaining full guard.
Dog is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockwell takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rockwell tries a head kick but it misses.
Dog wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

and Dog cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Rockwell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dog.

Dog is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rockwell can do to turn this around?
Dog throws a body shot but no joy.
Rockwell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dog's head backwards.

Rockwell cracks Dog with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dog uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rockwell has time to react.
Rockwell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dog was well out of range. Poor timing from Rockwell .

Rockwell lands with a slapping head kick.
Dog jabs at Rockwell 's body.
Dog walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dog blocks a jab.
Rockwell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dog dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rockwell . That did some damage!
Dog throws the left hand but Rockwell avoids the punch easily.
Dog throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rockwell on the side of the head.
Rockwell takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rockwell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dog throws a leg kick but Rockwell moved away.

Rockwell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Rockwell throws a body punch but Dog moves out of range.
Rockwell throws out a loose jab but Dog uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Rockwell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Rockwell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dog shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rockwell takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Dog tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dog ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rockwell scores with a head kick. Dog tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rockwell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dog.

Rockwell looks to land a left hand but Dog moved out of range nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rockwell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dog.

That was a close second round but I would say that Junkyard Dog will probably get the nod.
