Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Waldorf Astoria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas slips a jab and a cross from Astoria.
Astoria throws a leg kick which misses Thomas's front leg but catches the back leg as Thomas tries to avoid it.
Thomas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Astoria misses with a low kick.
Astoria misses with a hook. Thomas ducked under it nicely.
Astoria bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Astoria lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Astoria moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Astoria throws a sloppy head kick and Thomas moves out of range easily.

That has opened up Doc Thomas's cut even more.

Astoria connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Astoria throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thomas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Thomas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Astoria connects with the punch.

The cut above Doc Thomas's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Astoria just misses with a punch to the body.
Thomas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Astoria pinned against the cage. Astoria gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Astoria scores with a nice right hand.
Thomas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Astoria is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Astoria connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thomas momentarily.

Doc Thomas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Astoria attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Astoria misses the jab.
Thomas closes the distance and clinches up with Astoria, looking for a takedown. Thomas pushes Astoria against the cage but Astoria circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Waldorf Astoria has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doc Thomas.
