Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Avgua Siav Leo Nani (ranked 2382 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Palmer (ranked 2698 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Avgua Siav Leo Nani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leo Nani has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Palmer finds it's way round the side to connect with Leo Nani's head.
Palmer misses with a double jab.
Leo Nani shoots in for a takedown but Palmer shows good takedown defense.
Palmer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Leo Nani feinted with a counter takedown.
Palmer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leo Nani circles away quickly and effectively.
Left hook, right uppercut from Palmer.
Palmer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Leo Nani drops down looking for a counter takedown but Palmer sprawls and moves away.
Palmer looks winded!
Leo Nani shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Palmer pinned against the cage. Palmer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Leo Nani dives in for a single leg takedown but Palmer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Palmer throws out a counter right but Leo Nani avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Avgua Siav Leo Nani. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Palmer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Leo Nani throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palmer's waist but Palmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leo Nani off to one side.
Palmer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leo Nani tries to score a power double leg takedown but Palmer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leo Nani somewhat.
Leo Nani slips a jab and a cross from Palmer.
Leo Nani shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Palmer sprawls well. Palmer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leo Nani gets slowly back to his feet.
Palmer looks to throw the jab but Leo Nani is out of range.
Palmer lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Leo Nani closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Leo Nani is nestled in close to Palmer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Leo Nani drops an elbow to the side of Palmer's head.
Leo Nani is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Leo Nani passes to full mount!
Leo Nani lands a big shot there that rocks Palmer but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Leo Nani working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Palmer looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Leo Nani! Submission of the night perhaps?
