Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Myles Brady (ranked 897 p4p, 111 weight class) and Reece Daniels (ranked 2448 p4p, 257 weight class). Brady comes to the cage accompanied by Aaron Lewis - Country Boy. Daniels has chosen Eminem - Kings never die as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Myles Brady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Reece Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Brady walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Daniels lands with an overhand left.
Daniels catches Brady with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Daniels gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brady to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brady is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Brady passes Daniels's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Daniels looks like he's trying to stand up.
Brady slows the pace down in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brady works his way into side control.
Daniels is pushing Brady's head away, looking to escape. Brady manages to hold on to the position though.
Daniels prevents Brady from improving position.
Daniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brady works to advance to full mount. Daniels defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Brady looking to finish with strikes here!

Brady jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Daniels is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Daniels and Brady has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee asks Brady politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brady prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brady seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Daniels for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daniels can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brady thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brady is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Daniels is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Daniels stops Brady from passing to mount.
Brady lands a nice forearm strike.
Brady prevents Daniels from escaping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Daniels is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Brady moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brady is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Daniels has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Myles Brady dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Brady takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Myles Brady is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Daniels throws a sloppy head kick and Brady moves out of range easily.

Brady shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brady showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brady perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brady passes to side control.
The referee asks Brady politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brady prefers to stall for the moment though.

Brady taking a breather here.

Brady is trying to get an arm triangle but Daniels is defending well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Brady is working Daniels over with some ground and pound from side control.
Daniels tries to escape but Brady is in control.
Daniels seems a little lost for a moment, as Brady dominates the positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Brady tries for a kimura but Daniels is defending well.
Brady controlling the position.
Brady scores with punches from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Brady tries to move to mount but Daniels blocks the move with his legs.

Brady has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Daniels is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Brady yanks on the arm and Daniels is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Brady.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Myles Brady!
