Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Jones (ranked 458 p4p, 64 weight class) and Cesare Tiramanti (ranked 865 p4p, 131 weight class). Jones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Raining Blood - Slayer. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiramanti jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tiramanti wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.

Jones lands a head shot.
Tiramanti throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
Jones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tiramanti throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tiramanti ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
Tiramanti takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Tiramanti avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiramanti cracks Jones with a right hand to the side of the head.

Tiramanti throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Jones went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jones lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jones lands a two punch combo.
Tiramanti throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones moves out of range as Tiramanti strikes.
Jones punishes Tiramanti's body with a nice straight punch.
Tiramanti scores with a jab to the jaw.

Tiramanti throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tiramanti stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken.
Tiramanti uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Tiramanti's head back.
Tiramanti looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tiramanti now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Tiramanti has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tiramanti. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tiramanti misses with a straight left.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A punch lands to the side of Jones 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Tiramanti gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice shot lands for Tiramanti.
Tiramanti throws a lazy uppercut
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Tiramanti uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Tiramanti on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones.

Tiramanti is rocked!
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tiramanti comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tiramanti loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.

Tiramanti bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tiramanti misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Tiramanti ducks down to avoid it.
Tiramanti rushes Jones with punches - Jones moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Jones goes down! Tiramanti follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
