The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shirai finds it's way round the side to connect with Cormier's head.
Shirai lands a body shot.
Cormier looks winded!
Cormier on the wrong end of a nice jab.
We've been told by Shirai's head coaches at Wookies Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Shirai lands a big right hand that sends Cormier crashing to the mat! Shirai stays standing though and waves Cormier back to his feet!

Cormier is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shirai lands an uppercut, right on the button! Cormier tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
