Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spurgu Nator (ranked 2856 p4p, 355 weight class) and Sivile Gonya (ranked 2246 p4p, 293 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sivile Gonya!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nator misses the body punch
and Gonya counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Gonya throws a hook but Nator avoids it easily.
Sloppy strikes from Nator. Those never looked like landing.
Nator has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nator tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A little jabbing left from Gonya on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gonya throws a sloppy head kick and Nator moves out of range easily.
Nator avoids the head kick by Gonya.
Nator dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A shot to the body from Nator misses
and Gonya connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nator is looking to slow Gonya down with leg kicks.
Gonya lands with a shot to the body.
Gonya throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nator thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gonya if he has to take too many more of those.
Nator fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gonya.

Gonya stuns Nator with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gonya throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gonya throws a body shot but no joy.
It looked like Nator was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Gonya scores with a decent looking hook.
Nator throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Some bone on bone action there as Gonya checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Spurgu Nator is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nator throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gonya misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nator appears to be looking for a big counter.
Gonya digs a good body shot into Nator's ribs.
Gonya shoots in looking for a takedown. Nator tries to sprawl out of it but Gonya keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nator manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As Nator backs off Gonya throws a huge counter combo but Nator manages to avoid it all.

Gonya pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nator went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Spurgu Nator seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nator.
Gonya misses the shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gonya cracks a nice hook into Nator's ribs.
Nator shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Gonya looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gonya throws a jab when Nator was well out of range.
Gonya swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gonya keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nator throws a leg kick but Gonya moved away.
Gonya throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gonya shoots in for a takedown but Nator shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gonya takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nator takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nator, as that shot connected.
Nator throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Nator throws out a loose jab but Gonya uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nator lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Nator throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gonya slips a jab from Nator.
Gonya appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A punch combination from Nator misses.
Nator misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nator looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gonya! But no joy.
Gonya lands a nice hook to Nator's body. Nator takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nator throws a head kick but Gonya moves out of range.

The crowd cheers as Nator lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gonya doesn't seem phased though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gonya connects with a looping right hand.
Nator bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gonya swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gonya lands a lovely overhand right.
Nator lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gonya will feel that in the morning.
Nator throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nator connects with an inside leg kick.
Nator lands with a kick to the temple. Gonya shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gonya moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nator stuns Gonya with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gonya looks to land a right hand but Nator moved out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Spurgu Nator will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gonya throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nator was covering up waiting for the punch and Gonya finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gonya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nator swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gonya has gone for a leg lock! Nator slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gonya's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nator avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nator slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gonya tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gonya is trying to control the position but Nator postures up.

Gonya looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nator has picked Gonya up and slammed him! Gonya can't keep hold of the triangle and Nator manages to pass to side control!
You can see the frustration on Gonya's face as Nator controls the position.
Gonya sneaks back into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nator in particular looking to stall.
Nator continues to stall.
Nator wants to stand up but Gonya is controlling the position.

Gonya wants to improve his position but Nator is controlling well.
Gonya manages to get to full guard.

Gonya is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nator defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nator controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Gonya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gonya scores with a punch to the head.
Nator connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gonya's hands.
Nator lands with an overhand left.
Nator fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gonya throws a hook to the side of Nator's head but Nator sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gonya has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gonya just misses with a punch to the body.
Nator lands a nice shot to the body.

Gonya lands with a good body shot.

That was a close second round but I would say that Spurgu Nator will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

It looked like Nator wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Gonya swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nator throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gonya.

As Gonya looks to move away, Nator throws a big counter combo but Gonya just gets out of the way.
Nator will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nator misses with a series of wild punches.
Gonya now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Nator steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gonya. That one must have hurt.

Nator feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gonyas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
