Griffin comes into the arena with Killing In The Name blaring out of the sound system. Forrest Griffin has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a series of punches but Triad avoids them all with ease.
Triad avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Griffin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Triad slips under a jab.
Griffin keeps the fight on the outside.
Griffin misses with a leg kick.

Triad rushes Griffin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Griffin breaks the clinch.
Triad fails with the takedown.

Triad closes the distance and clinches.
Triad tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Griffin smiles and moves away.
Griffin swinging wilding here.
Griffin lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Triad swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.
Triad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Forrest Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Triad.

Griffin tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Triad paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Griffin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Triad darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Griffin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Triad is working away from the top position though.

Griffin is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Triad pulls his head out easily.
Triad prevents Griffin from improving his position.
Triad is keen to just control but Griffin is a slippery customer.

Griffin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Griffin.
Triad looking to sit in guard and control but Griffin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Triad pulls Griffin in close to prevent any damage.

Triad is looking for a triangle but Griffin pushes his legs off easily.
Griffin wants to control from the top but Triad keeps moving.

Griffin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Triad is keeping the position for now.
Griffin stands and throws Triad's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Griffin is looking to take a break and control but Triad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Triad is looking to regain half guard here but Griffin keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Griffin swings for the body but Triad moves out of range.
Triad wants to clinch up but Griffin keeps it at a distance.
A combination from Griffin does no damage.
Triad shoots in for a double leg but Griffin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Griffin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Griffin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Griffin wants to sweep here but Triad controlling him for the moment.
Griffin has a closed guard, preventing Triad from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Forrest Griffin dominated that round.
That's time! Griffin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Griffin has closed the distance and engaged Triad in a clinch.
Triad tries to break the clinch but Griffin is controlling the position.
Triad jumps guard but Griffin stands there with Triad around his waist. Triad gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Griffin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Triad looking for a takedown.
Triad tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Forrest Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Triad.
Triad is stalling here.
Triad fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griffin blocks an uppercut.
Triad unloads a knee to the mid-section. Griffin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Griffin tries to land a knee to the head but Triad blocks with his arms.
Triad managing to block the knees to the body from Griffin.
Triad is trying to drag Griffin to the mat but Griffin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

A nice left hand lands by Triad.
Griffin lands a body punch.
Triad has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Griffin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Triad is breathing heavily.
Griffin misses with an elbow strike.
Triad drops down looking for an ankle pick but Griffin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Triad has a takedown stuffed.
A punch combination from Griffin misses.
The fighters circle, before Griffin throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Triad's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Griffin lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
