Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Stefan (ranked 623 p4p, 94 weight class) and Buster McDiggle (ranked 983 p4p, 141 weight class). Stefan's entrance music is Onward to Victory. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Stefan.
McDiggle throws the kick towards the body but Stefan avoids it.
McDiggle gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Stefan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Buster McDiggle has been cut.
McDiggle blocks a head kick by Stefan.
McDiggle throws a big counter head kick but Stefan avoids it with no problem.
Stefan throws a series of punches but McDiggle moves out of range.
McDiggle getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Stefan misses with a series of wild punches.

and McDiggle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hector Stefan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McDiggle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and McDiggle counters with a left to the body.
McDiggle throws a shot from downtown. Stefan moves away and avoids it.
A little feinted left hand from Stefan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Stefan throws a combination that misses
and McDiggle counters with a stiff right hand.
Stefan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McDiggle.
Stefan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McDiggle walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stefan scores with a head kick. McDiggle tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Stefan cracks McDiggle with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stefan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McDiggle counters with a straight right hand.

Stefan throws a push kick but McDiggle slaps the foot to one side.

McDiggle slips a jab and a cross from Stefan.
Stefan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McDiggle moves away.
Stefan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McDiggle lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
McDiggle blocks a head kick by Stefan.
Stefan throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
McDiggle throws a head kick but Stefan moves out of range.
Stefan falls off balance throwing a combination
and McDiggle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McDiggle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stefan was well out of range. Poor timing from McDiggle.
McDiggle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stefan throws out the jab.

Stefan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McDiggle counters with a leg kick.
A jab lands there for Stefan.
McDiggle connects with the punch.
McDiggle avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stefan throws a head kick but McDiggle moves out of range.
McDiggle tries a head kick but it misses.
McDiggle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McDiggle throws a head kick but Stefan moves out of range.
Stefan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McDiggle looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McDiggle moves out of range as Stefan strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stefan, as that shot connected.

That has opened up Buster McDiggle's cut even more.
Stefan throws an overhand right that lands on McDiggle's shoulder, as McDiggle tries to avoid the shot.
McDiggle just misses with a punch to the body.
Stefan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McDiggle scores with the left hand. Stefan knows he should have avoided that one.
Stefan misses with a body punch
and McDiggle counters with a nice uppercut.
McDiggle slips under a jab from Stefan.
McDiggle connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stefan throws a head kick that misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from McDiggle! But no joy.
Stefan scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McDiggle lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Stefan misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hector Stefan will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Buster McDiggle's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stefan takes one to the chin there.
McDiggle scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McDiggle lands with an uppercut that bounces Stefan off the cage and back into range.

Stefan is rocked!
McDiggle lands a nice shot to the body.
Oh Stefan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stefan misses with a two punch combination.
Stefan throws a leg kick that is checked
and McDiggle counters with a huge right that knocks Stefan out cold! McDiggle is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
