Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Cho (ranked 4626 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hobie Mirage (ranked 4798 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hobie Mirage!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cho ducks under a wild hook from Mirage.
Cho appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Hobie Mirage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Cho.
Mirage tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cho is able to avoid easily.
Cho keeps the fight on the outside.

Cho seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Mirage tries to get to full guard but Cho has control of the leg.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mirage can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cho is nestled in close to Mirage, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mirage drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cho pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mirage does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

John Cho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cho, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
