Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Michael MP (ranked 3559 p4p, 329 weight class) and Jimmy Cathaway (ranked 2514 p4p, 253 weight class). MP comes to the ring accompanied by Whitesnake - Is This Love?. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MP throws a sloppy head kick and Cathaway moves out of range easily.
MP will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
MP tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by MP!
MP misses with a double jab
and Cathaway counters with an inside leg kick.
MP lands with a nice combination. Cathaway backs away looking to recover.
MP connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Cathaway counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

It looked like MP was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

It looks like Michael MP has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A very excited looking Jimmy Cathaway rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Michael MP had this to say: 'That was unexpected. Give me another 5 minutes and that dude is getting wrecked.'.
