Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 1296 p4p, 162 weight class) and Jay Simon (ranked 848 p4p, 104 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to ROYCE GRACIE. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Simon!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looks for a takedown but Simon sprawls well.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Simon avoids it really well and circles away.
Kron Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simon leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Simon appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kron Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Simon scores with a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Simon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Kron Gracie has been cut.

and Simon counters with a right hand to the body.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Simon pounces like a tiger and cracks Gracie with a vicious hook! Gracie is down but not out! Simon follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A very excited looking Jay Simon made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
