Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cleon Wright (ranked 1853 p4p, 211 weight class) and Fathy Ahmad (ranked 7836 p4p, 545 weight class). Fathy Ahmad is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fathy Ahmad!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmad lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wright circles away quickly and effectively.
As Ahmad tries to get set, Wright tries to push him back and clinch up but Ahmad manages to avoid the attempt.
Ahmad ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ahmad takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fathy Ahmad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ahmad fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wright manages to avoid it.
Wright has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sloppy strikes from Ahmad. Those never looked like landing.

Ahmad is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wright .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ahmad throws a series of punches but Wright moves out of range.
Wright seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Ahmad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wright .
Wright lands with an overhand left.
Wright throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Ahmad on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ahmad avoids the body shot from Wright .
A nice side step and Ahmad releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Wright lands a right hook to the body.
Wright ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ahmad misses with a straight left.
Ahmad falls off balance throwing a combination

and Wright counters by clinching up.
A short body shot lands from Wright as the two fighters clinch.
Wright has Ahmad pressed against the cage, preventing Ahmad from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ahmad is trying to push Wright away but Wright has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Wright pushes Ahmad back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

A short body shot lands from Wright as the two fighters clinch.
Wright working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wright has Ahmad pushed against the cage.

Ahmad can't break the clinch.
Wright lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Wright stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wright creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ahmad is rocked!
Wright works on Ahmad's body with a couple of short punches.

Wright is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Wright digs a right hand underneath Ahmad's ribcage. Ahmad let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Wright is struggling to control the position.
Wright scores with an uppercut up the middle.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Wright lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ahmad or not.
Wright digs a right hand into Ahmad's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ahmad's gas tank.
Wright works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Wright lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ahmad backwards.

Wright drops Ahmad onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ahmad is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Wright unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Ahmad! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Wright is unloading with more strikes now! Ahmad drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Cleon Wright tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
