Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Like Boss (ranked 3019 p4p, 314 weight class) and Joao Cajo Branca (ranked 1121 p4p, 145 weight class). Branca comes into a darkened arena with his song building. original score medley kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boss's corner calls for a 1-2. Boss obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Like Boss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boss scores with a hook to the body. Branca takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Boss has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Branca flicks out a counter leg kick but Boss steps away.
Branca feints and then cracks Boss's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boss down.

Boss comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boss ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Branca moves away.
Branca is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Boss connects with a high kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boss is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Branca.

Boss throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Branca throws a nice looking combination but Boss bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Branca tests Boss's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Branca throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Branca misses with an uppercut. Boss saw that one coming.
Boss misses with a low kick.
Boss looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Branca throws a shot from downtown. Boss moves away and avoids it.
Branca throws a leg kick but Boss sees it coming and moves out of range.
Branca takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Branca walks into a stiff left hand from Boss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Branca's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boss connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Branca scrambles back to his feet.

Joao Cajo Branca's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

and Branca takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Boss keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boss throws a leg kick which misses Branca's front leg but catches the back leg as Branca tries to avoid it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joao Cajo Branca's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After winning the bout, Like Boss thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
