Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Iain Tower!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tower misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kerr.
As Tower backs off Kerr throws a huge counter combo but Tower manages to avoid it all.
Tower uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kerr.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kerr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kerr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tower avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kerr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tower is looking to counter punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kerr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tower manages to avoid it.
Tower throws a body punch but Kerr moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr throws a shot to the body.
Tower lands with a cross.
Iain Tower seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tower works the jab nicely.
Kerr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tower lands a nice shot that snaps Kerr's head back.
Tower lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kerr falls backwards - clearly groggy! Tower dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iain Tower!
Iain Tower retains his heavyweight title!
Our winner, Iain Tower, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
