The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Victor drives through with a takedown into guard.
Victor is pushing down on Van Klaveren's leg trying to pass to half guard. Van Klaveren is fighting to maintain full guard but Victor has managed to sneak the leg through.

Van Klaveren is defending against the submission attempts here by Victor.
Van Klaveren trying to hold on to Victor's head to control him but Victor postures up.

Victor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Van Klaveren is just riding it out for now. Victor eventually gives up the hold.

Victor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Victor is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Van Klaveren to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Victor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Victor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
