Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Etienne Gueguen (ranked 542 p4p, 32 weight class) and Kurt Clark (ranked 1148 p4p, 72 weight class). Etienne Gueguen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Etienne Gueguen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Clark!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gueguen moves into the clinch successfully.
Clark blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Clark breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clark is looking to clinch but Gueguen is avoiding it.
Nice sprawl there from Clark as Gueguen shoots in.
Clark dives in and grabs Gueguen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gueguen pushes down on Clark's head and hops out.
Clark shoots for a double leg takedown but Gueguen sprawls well. He's pushed Clark's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gueguen rushes Clark and presses him up against the cage.
Clark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gueguen misses with a hook from the clinch.
Clark tries to pull guard but Gueguen holds him up against the cage and eventually Clark drops back down to his feet.
Etienne Gueguen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Clark.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gueguen gets control of Clark's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gueguen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gueguen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Clark is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Clark trying to control the position from guard on top but Gueguen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clark is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gueguen has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Clark is looking to defend but Gueguen has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Clark! Gueguen pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Clark taps out and this one is all over!
