Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Anderson (ranked 3287 p4p, 95 weight class) and Weimin Liaw (ranked 2925 p4p, 85 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Weimin Liaw!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Anderson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Liaw takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Anderson throws a head kick that Liaw semi-blocks.
Anderson connects with a leg kick. Liaw looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Liaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liaw manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Liaw's guard.

Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Liaw is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Liaw moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Liaw throws a right hand that Anderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Anderson also avoids with ease.
Anderson lands a leg kick that knocks Liaw off balance momentarily.

A solid leg kick lands there for Anderson.

and Liaw counters with a nice uppercut.

Anderson closes the distance and pushes Liaw back into the ropes.

Anderson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Liaw misses with a hook from the clinch.
Anderson is trying to drag Liaw to the mat but Liaw just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Liaw is pressed up against the ropes. Anderson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Liaw down to the mat. Liaw avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Anderson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Anderson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
