Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Mokete (ranked 1814 p4p, 213 weight class) and Charles Farias (ranked 1505 p4p, 179 weight class). Farias has chosen Notorious B.I.G - Juicy as his entrance music. Charles Farias has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alexander Mokete's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farias walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Mokete lands a two punch combo.
A head kick misses from Farias.
Mokete takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Alexander Mokete has been cut.
Mokete misses with a hook.
Farias connects with the punch.
Farias lands a high kick!

Farias lands a head kick that stumbles Mokete and the fighters go to the mat.

Mokete is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mokete is trying to keep Farias in close.

Farias stands up and waves to Mokete to follow him.

Mokete connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Mokete rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Farias moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Farias shapes to counter with a head kick.
Farias goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Farias throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mokete.
Mokete misses with a straight right.
Mokete lands a nice shot to the body.
Farias walks into a jab.
Farias thuds his right hand into Mokete's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mokete swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Farias counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Farias lands with a hook. Mokete tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Alexander Mokete's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Farias knocks Mokete to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Oh Mokete is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
You can see the frustration on Mokete's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mokete seems to have got his legs back now.
Mokete is looking for a sweep.
Mokete holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Mokete is trying to control Farias's posture but Farias avoids it.
Mokete tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Farias wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mokete wants to control but Farias postures up.

Farias has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Farias drops Mokete with a left right combo! Farias follows him down to the ground into side control.

Farias stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Alexander Mokete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Farias's corner calls for a 1-2. Farias obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Alexander Mokete's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A decent looking cross lands there for Mokete.
Mokete looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Farias throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Mokete stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Farias follows into mount!

Farias is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

A big head kick from Farias and Mokete is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Jeez, Alexander Mokete's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farias won't allow Mokete to sweep him here.
Farias tries to stand but Mokete is controlling from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mokete is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Mokete's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mokete avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mokete looks to score with a jab to the body but Farias is just out of range.
Farias looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Farias throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Mokete swings away with a body shot that misses

and Farias counters with a head kick that drops Mokete - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!
Farias tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Mokete is trying to control but can't.
