The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson cracks Almeida with a good jab.
Eriksson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Almeida.
Almeida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Almeida gets a double leg takedown into Eriksson's guard.
Almeida could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Almeida stands and throws Eriksson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Eriksson is looking to regain half guard here but Almeida keeps moving and retains side control.
Eriksson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Almeida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Almeida stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Eriksson throws a shot from downtown. Almeida moves away and avoids it.
Almeida uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eriksson.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Almeida displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Eriksson throws out the jab.

Almeida shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Eriksson has a hand on Almeida's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Almeida takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Eriksson sends Almeida crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Eriksson is motioning to the referee to let Almeida up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Almeida bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Eriksson comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Almeida falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Almeida was out before he hit the floor!
