The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nedman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Costune paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Costune will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Costune keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Costune shoots in and drives through. Nedman sprawls well.
Nedman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Costune counters by clinching up.
Nedman is looking to break free of the clinch but Costune has double underhooks.
Costune wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DJ Costune. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nedman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nedman is looking to control Costune's arms but Costune gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nedman has his back to the cage.
Nedman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Costune manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Nedman trying to control the position from guard on top but Costune is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Costune bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nedman's guard.

Nedman wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Costune manages to pass to side control.
Costune lands with a punch from half guard.

Nedman is looking to control Costune's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nedman avoid being mounted?

Nedman wants to control the action here but instead Costune manages to pass to full mount!
Costune takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Costune has control of Nedman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nedman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nedman tries to hold on but Costune postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nedman has left one of his arms exposed and Costune doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Nedman screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
