Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Lawchlam (ranked 4905 p4p, 532 weight class) and Alec Baldlose (ranked 5111 p4p, 543 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baldlose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lawchlam.
Lawchlam looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Baldlose jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lawchlam manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Baldlose takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Baldlose might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Baldlose throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lawchlam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Baldlose is in Lawchlam's guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Lawchlam manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baldlose wants to break the clinch but can't.
Baldlose tightens his grip and picks Lawchlam up, before dumping him to the ground. Lawchlam manages to land in guard.
Baldlose has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Baldlose drops back looking for a leg! Lawchlam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lawchlam manages to kick Baldlose off! Baldlose jumps back into Lawchlam's guard.
