Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trey Bridges (ranked 2709 p4p, 148 weight class) and Germaine Dorticos (ranked 3972 p4p, 207 weight class). Trey Bridges has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trey Bridges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Germaine Dorticos!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorticos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dorticos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bridges throws a lazy uppercut
and Dorticos counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dorticos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dorticos misses the shot to the body.
Dorticos wants to clinch.

Bridges has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bridges gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bridges is just content to waste time from the top position. Dorticos takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bridges connects with a nice short shot to Dorticos's temple.

Dorticos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dorticos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bridges will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bridges is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bridges wants to sweep here but Dorticos controlling him for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bridges throws a leg kick but Dorticos checks it.
Dorticos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bridges's head backwards.

Bridges is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dorticos can do to turn this around?

Bridges shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dorticos but Dorticos pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bridges tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dorticos just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bridges wants to control the position but Dorticos frees himself and scrambles - Bridges manages to regain control in side control.
Bridges lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dorticos down.

Dorticos is looking to regain half guard here but Bridges keeps moving and retains side control.
Dorticos is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bridges connects with a decent elbow.
Bridges throws a strike aimed at the side of Dorticos's head but Dorticos avoids it well.
Bridges wants to control but Dorticos is keeping him busy.
