Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obina Chuckwu (ranked 3018 p4p, 396 weight class) and Jurgen Locadia (ranked 3521 p4p, 448 weight class). Jurgen Locadia is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jurgen Locadia!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chuckwu.
Chuckwu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Locadia avoids it really well and circles away.
Locadia is trying to counter with his kicks.
Chuckwu misses with a takedown attempt
and Locadia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Obina Chuckwu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Locadia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chuckwu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Chuckwu's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Chuckwu pushes down on Locadia's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Locadia pushes Chuckwu off looking to stand but Chuckwu dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Locadia on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chuckwu stops Locadia from getting back to his feet.
Chuckwu lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Chuckwu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Locadia pushes Chuckwu off looking to stand but Chuckwu dives back in and keeps control.
Chuckwu works his foot free and advances to mount.
Chuckwu lands a heavy elbow.
Chuckwu cracks Locadia with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Chuckwu tries to control but Locadia wriggling away.
Chuckwu landing strikes from the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Locadia is trying to stand up.
Chuckwu fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Locadia looks winded!
Chuckwu is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Locadia can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Locadia looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Chuckwu postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Locadia in real trouble here! The ref calls for Locadia to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Obina Chuckwu!
