PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Nik Snow (ranked 1249 p4p, 155 weight class) and William Henry Bonney (ranked 802 p4p, 104 weight class). Bonney has chosen Call me Young Gun as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nik Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 46 - 31 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Henry Bonney!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow lands a right hook to the body.
Snow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bonney throws out the jab.
Snow throws the left hand but Bonney avoids the punch easily.
Bonney swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bonney checks the leg kick nicely there.

Bonney closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Bonney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nik Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick lands for Snow.
Bonney feints a jab promting Snow to slip. Bonney then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Snow slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Snow takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Snow scores with a nice right hand.
Snow misses with a looping right.
Snow misses the shot to the body.
Snow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snow wants to land a leg kick but Bonney is out of range.
Snow fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bonney has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bonney is looking to clinch but Snow is avoiding it.

Bonney pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Snow back to the ropes. Bonney follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Bonney walks into a stiff left hand from Snow.
Snow lands with a good body shot.
Snow throws an overhand right that lands on Bonney's shoulder, as Bonney tries to avoid the shot.
A nice leg kick from Snow, right into the meat of the thigh.

Bonney is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Snow.
Bonney throws a series of punches but Snow moves out of range.

Snow digs a right hand into Bonney's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bonney's gas tank.

Bonney's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Snow looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bonney throws a jab but it's blocked by Snow.

A close round but William Henry Bonney will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

As Bonney looks to move away, Snow throws a big counter combo but Bonney just gets out of the way.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nik Snow will probably get the nod.

Snow will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
