Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bayani Kunakorn (ranked 1293 p4p, 156 weight class) and Sylvain Lievremont (ranked 1884 p4p, 214 weight class). Lievremont is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stromae - Papaoutai. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 2, fighting out of London, Bayani Kunakorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sylvain Lievremont!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lievremont fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kunakorn was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lievremont shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kunakorn defends it nicely.
We've been told by Kunakorn's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kunakorn stuffs the takedown attempt from Lievremont. Lievremont gets slowly back to his feet.
Bayani Kunakorn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sylvain Lievremont.
Jab, jab by Lievremont - just one landing.

Kunakorn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lievremont to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lievremont might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kunakorn haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kunakorn wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Lievremont distracts Kunakorn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lievremont wants to control from the top but Kunakorn keeps moving.

Kunakorn has Lievremont pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kunakorn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lievremont. That did some damage!
Sylvain Lievremont seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lievremont on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Lievremont takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This has been an exciting period of action!

It looked like Kunakorn was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kunakorn swings for the body but Lievremont moves out of range.
Lievremont lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Lievremont shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lievremont showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kunakorn trying to hold on to Lievremont's head to control him but Lievremont postures up.
Lievremont thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lievremont takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kunakorn is staying active underneath Lievremont, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lievremont is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lievremont is looking for a kimura here.

Nice takedown defense from Kunakorn. No joy for Lievremont on that attempt.
Lievremont dives in for a single leg takedown but Kunakorn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lievremont throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kunakorn to regain full guard.
Lievremont seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

It looked like Kunakorn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lievremont.
Bayani Kunakorn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A punch lands to the side of Kunakorn 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lievremont throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kunakorn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kunakorn lands a jab-cross combination.
Lievremont stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kunakorn.
Kunakorn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kunakorn ducks under a wild hook from Lievremont.
A little feinted left hand from Kunakorn on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kunakorn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lievremont sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lievremont shoots in for a double leg but Kunakorn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As Lievremont backs away, Kunakorn returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Lievremont with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kunakorn to score with a decent uppercut.

Kunakorn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lievremont.
Lievremont bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Lievremont shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kunakorn as he avoids it easily.

Kunakorn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Lievremont misses with a takedown attempt - Kunakorn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lievremont's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Kunakorn feints and then cracks Lievremont's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lievremont down.
Kunakorn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kunakorn cracks Lievremont with a hook to the temple - Lievremont is on wobbly legs here! Kunakorn swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Lievremont falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kunakorn wins by TKO!

A relieved looking Bayani Kunakorn thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
