Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carey Mahoney (ranked 1264 p4p, 185 weight class) and Alen Ohanian (ranked 1513 p4p, 215 weight class). Ohanian has chosen The Eternals - Wrath of Zeus as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ohanian tests Mahoney's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mahoney takes a swing at Ohanian's ribcage but misses.
Mahoney works Ohanian's body with a nice hook.
Mahoney ducks right into an uppercut from Ohanian.
Mahoney lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Mahoney throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mahoney tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ohanian manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ohanian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mahoney can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mahoney looks to score with a jab to the body but Ohanian is just out of range.
Ohanian explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Mahoney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ohanian sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mahoney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mahoney tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ohanian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ohanian has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mahoney. Ohanian does a little dance to reset his feet.

A nice side step and Ohanian releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Mahoney pounces like a tiger and cracks Ohanian with a vicious hook! Ohanian is down but not out! Mahoney follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

In his post fight interview, Carey Mahoney started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
