Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Za Beast (ranked 5904 p4p, 5138 weight class) and Alessandro Diaz (ranked 547 p4p, 510 weight class). Alessandro Diaz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Alessandro Diaz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Beast fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it.
Diaz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Beast misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Beast throws a big shot that misses.
Beast closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diaz quickly recovers to half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Beast's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Beast tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Beast seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Beast is keen to just control but Diaz is a slippery customer.
