With a record of 22 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Osama Akharraz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Salazar!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akharraz misses with a combination
and Salazar counters with a nice low kick that buckles Akharraz's knee momentarily.
Akharraz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Akharraz lands with a right hand.
A jab lands there for Salazar.

Akharraz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Akharraz lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Michael Salazar has been cut.
Akharraz is looking to control Salazar's arms but Salazar gets an underhook and turns him. Now Akharraz has his back to the cage.
Akharraz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Salazar scores with a shoulder strike.
Akharraz lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Akharraz lands an uppercut.
Salazar throws a punch but it's blocked by Akharraz.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akharraz pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Salazar fails to land.
Akharraz misses with a knee to the head.
Salazar scores with a shot to the side of Akharraz's head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Akharraz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Salazar's elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice right hand lands inside from Akharraz.
Akharraz lands with a short shot to the head.
Akharraz misses with a hook from the clinch.
Akharraz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Akharraz fails to land.

Akharraz breaks from the clinch.
Salazar on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Akharraz moves out of range of the leg kick from Salazar.
Akharraz swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Salazar counters with a straight that turns Akharraz's legs to rubber! Salazar pushes forward with more strikes and Akharraz goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Salazar!
After the fight, Michael Salazar was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
