Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunkechukwu Floyd (ranked 228 p4p, 35 weight class) and Lyle Alzado (ranked 580 p4p, 79 weight class). Floyd kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full. Bunkechukwu Floyd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alzado feints a jab promting Floyd to slip. Alzado then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Floyd slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Floyd counters with a nice right hand that sends Alzado toppling to the canvas! Alzado scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Floyd finish him?!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alzado closes the distance and clinches up with Floyd, looking for a takedown. Alzado pushes Floyd against the cage but Floyd circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Floyd uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alzado.

Alzado shoots in looking for a takedown but Floyd manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alzado's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Floyd slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
