Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damen Mayer (ranked 1305 p4p, 2503 weight class) and Bronson Hughes (ranked 155 p4p, 246 weight class). Hughes has chosen Slam - By: Onyx as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Mayer throws a body punch but Hughes moves out of range.
Mayer fails to land the takedown.
Mayer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hughes pinned against the cage. Hughes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hughes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mayers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Hughes is trying to control but Mayer manages to pass to mount!

Mayer has control of Hughes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hughes regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mayer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hughes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mayer swings around for an armbar but Hughes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mayer's guard.
