It looked like Monkey wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wood is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Monkey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wood's sensitive parts.

Wood takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Monkey throws a lazy right hand but Wood sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wood flicks out a counter leg kick but Monkey steps away.

and Monkey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Monkey misses with a body shot
and Wood scores with a counter punch that sends Monkey to the canvas! Wood smells blood - he's punishing Monkey with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Monkey has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

A relieved looking Willie Wood thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
