Carter misses with a takedown attempt

and Fighter moves into the clinch.
Fighter pushes Carter back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Wayne Carter has been cut.
Fighter blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fighter wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fighter sprawls well. Fighter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet.
Fighter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Carter's head backwards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fighter lands a big uppercut and Carter crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Carter looks OK. Fighter waves Carter back to his feet!
Wayne Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter shoots and misses
and Fighter counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Carter badly! He tries to strike back but Fighter puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Carter out cold! Oh man, Carter will never hear the end of this one!
