Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manu Tau (ranked 1893 p4p, 1566 weight class) and Winston Todd (ranked 251 p4p, 208 weight class). Todd is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Piano Man. Winston Todd has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Manu Tau's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Winston Todd!

Todd throws a jab but it's blocked by Tau.
Todd swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tau.

It looks like Manu Tau has been cut.
Tau really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Todd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tau manages to avoid it.
Todd wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Todd lands a big right hand that sends Tau crashing to the mat! Todd stays standing though and waves Tau back to his feet!

Todd throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tau feinted with a counter takedown.
Tau seems to have got his legs back now.
Todd throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tau sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Todd stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Todd wants it to stay on the feet.

Todd scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've been hearing reports that Tau has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Tau is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Todd is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Todd has escaped and now he's on top!

Tau escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Todd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Todd stays in close to Tau's body and controls the position.
Tau will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tau lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tau postures up in Todd's guard and throws a big left but Todd blocks it.
Todd utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Todd holds on and takes a little breather.
Todd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Todd looks to score with a jab to the body but Tau is just out of range.
Winston Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Todd cracks Tau with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tau or perhaps it was just good defense by Todd, which made it look bad.
Todd lands with an overhand left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tau uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Todd.
Todd slaps away a takedown attempt from Tau, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manu Tau. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Todd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tau was well out of range. Poor timing from Todd.

Todd's corner calls for a 1-2. Todd obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Todd closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Tau! Todd dives in looking to finish! Tau is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

A less than humble Winston Todd misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
