Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steven Cold (ranked 303 p4p, 395 weight class) and Santiago Costa (ranked 44 p4p, 56 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santiago Costa!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.

Costa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cold manages to avoid it.
Cold misses with a looping right.

so Costa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Costa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Costa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cold swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costa is still trying to improve position.

Cold is trying to stand back up but Costa is controlling him

Cold takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Costa takes a kick to the side of the head.
Cold misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Costa counters with a right hand to the body.

It looks like Steven Cold has been cut.

Steven Cold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cold is breathing heavily.
Cold waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Costa.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Costa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cold won't be happy with that.
Cold is letting Costa control him for a moment.

Costa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cold keeps working.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cold seems a little lost for a moment, as Costa dominates the positioning.
Costa wants to control but Cold is keeping him busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cold lands a lovely overhand right.
Cold misses with an uppercut. Costa saw that one coming.
A slow jab from Cold misses its intended target.
Steven Cold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Costa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Costa counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cold is wriggling around but Costa manages to pass to half guard.

Costa is pressing down on Cold's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cold is holding on for now.
Costa is figuring out what he wants to do next.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Steven Cold's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Costa uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Costa lands a jab.
Cold misses with a head kick.
Costa doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Cold throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Santiago Costa seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Costa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Costa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cold at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cold throws a sloppy body shot
and Costa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cold misses with a lunging right hand
and Costa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Costa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Costa scores with a punch to the head.
Costa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cold misses with a hook
and Costa counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Santiago Costa!
A relieved looking Santiago Costa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Steven Cold stepped up to the mic, saying 'Stand a Bang ...im sry too the fans for this boring zhit'.
