Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evaristo Jesus (ranked 202 p4p, 350 weight class) and Carlos Ruas (ranked 3 p4p, 11 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evaristo Jesus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Ruas!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

Ruas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jesus was well out of range. Poor timing from Ruas.

Ruas looking to score a takedown here. Jesus is defending well but Ruas drives through and ends up in Jesus's guard.
Jesus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ruas trying to control the position from guard on top but Jesus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ruas wants to take a breather but Jesus is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ruas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jesus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jesus thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jesus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ruas has his foot on Jesus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jesus works his way back into a safe position though.

Ruas connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ruas looks to throw the jab but Jesus is out of range.

Jesus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ruas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jesus doesn't seem bothered though.

Ruas dips to his left and cracks Jesus with an uppercut!

Ruas gets the takedown into side control.

Ruas wants to control but Jesus is keeping him busy.

Ruas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jesus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ruas passes the guard and advances to mount!
Jesus is in a horrible position here. Ruas smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Jesus slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Ruas wants to free his trapped foot but Jesus is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Ruas tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jesus knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ruas is looking to take a break and control but Jesus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jesus wants to improve his position but Ruas is controlling well.
Ruas is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jesus!

Jesus bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Ruas connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ruas cracks Jesus with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ruas looks to land a right hand but Jesus moved out of range.
Jesus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ruas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jesus scrambles back to his feet.
Ruas looks to score with a jab to the body but Jesus is just out of range.
Jesus was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jesus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ruas.
Jesus is looking to counter punch.
Ruas stuns Jesus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Carlos Ruas seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jesus tries to move into range but Ruas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ruas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jesus is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ruas yanks on the arm and Jesus is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ruas.

Carlos Ruas seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Evaristo Jesus spoke after the fight, saying 'WTF'.
