Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Vigo (ranked 831 p4p, 1332 weight class) and John Goldberg (ranked 114 p4p, 194 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.

Vigo shoots in looking for a takedown but Goldberg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vigo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
John Goldberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vigo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goldberg manages to avoid it.

Don Vigo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Goldberg.

Goldberg felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Vigo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Goldberg defends it easily.

Vigo has his foot on Goldberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Goldberg works his way back into a safe position though.

Goldberg scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vigo is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Goldberg can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

A relieved looking John Goldberg thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
