Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between RJ Cain (ranked 949 p4p, 1469 weight class) and Ryo Hamada (ranked 147 p4p, 213 weight class). Cain comes to the cage accompanied by Middle Class Rut . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, RJ Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryo Hamada!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hamada. Cain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hamada dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fighters circling - Cain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hamada dives in for a single leg takedown but Cain sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nice uppercut lands for Cain. That snapped Hamada's head back.
Hamada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cain circles away quickly and effectively.

Cain throws a hook to the side of Hamada's head but Hamada sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hamada throws a leg kick but Cain moved away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ryo Hamada will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hamada closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hamada seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cain is in trouble now - Hamada has advanced to mount!

Hamada takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hamada might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cain haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hamada is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Cain with him. Cain is trying to defend but Hamada has an arm under the chin now! Cain grimaces and is forced to tap out!
