Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micky Quinn (ranked 5831 p4p, 6017 weight class) and Paul Gascoigne (ranked 202 p4p, 203 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Quinn closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Quinn throws a jab when Gascoigne was well out of range.
Gascoigne looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Quinn counters with a straight right hand.
Gascoigne jabs Quinn right on the nose. Quinn blinks but takes it well.
Gascoigne lands a big right hand that sends Quinn crashing to the mat! Gascoigne stays standing though and waves Quinn back to his feet!
It looks like Micky Quinn has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh!!! Gascoigne has knocked Quinn down with a huge combo! Gascoigne steps away and waves a wobbly Quinn back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Gascoigne fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Quinn square on the jaw! Damn, Quinn is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paul Gascoigne!
Paul Gascoigne bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
