Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Day tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shain defends well and Day ends up having to push Shain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Shain swats away the attempt to clinch by Day.
It looked like Shain was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Day.
Day paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Day swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shain counters with a good low kick that Day was not able to check.
Day dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shain walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Day has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
