Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Turner (ranked 3797 p4p, 2655 weight class) and Rene Lafayette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lafayette has chosen Erasure - Always as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Junior Turner has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Junior Turner seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Turner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A swing and a miss from Lafayette.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lafayette. Turner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Turner looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Lafayette dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lafayette has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lafayette throws out the jab.
Turner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Lafayette tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turner swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lafayette clinches up with Turner and pushes him back against the cage.
Lafayette has Turner pressed against the cage, preventing Turner from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lafayette misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Turner is posturing up here but Lafayette has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Turner tries to roll out but it's too tight and Turner has to tap! Slick submission there by Lafayette!

Rene Lafayette decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Junior Turner stepped up to the mic, saying 'fuck that bitch'.
