Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johan Olsen (ranked 440 p4p, 671 weight class) and Stan Shamrock (ranked 61 p4p, 101 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Shamrock tries to clinch up
and Olsen counters with a shoot takedown. Shamrock fights it but they end up in guard.
Olsen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Shamrock controls Olsen momentarily but Olsen frees himself.
Shamrock pulls Olsen in close to prevent any damage.
Shamrock looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olsen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shamrock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Olsen trying to control the position from guard on top but Shamrock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shamrock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olsen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Olsen is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Olsen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shamrock sprawls well initially but Olsen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Shamrock is trying to control but Olsen manages to pass to mount!

Shamrock stops Olsen from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Shamrock tries to lock up and control but Olsen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Olsen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Olsen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shamrock manages to avoid the submission attempt.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shamrock can do anything to dispel that myth.

Olsen is trying to pull guard but Shamrock turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Olsen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shamrock gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
