Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Barbosa (ranked 2433 p4p, 1627 weight class) and Peter Ootempants (ranked 292 p4p, 201 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

A slow jab from Barbosa misses its intended target.
Barbosa thuds his right hand into Ootempants's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Barbosa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ootempants manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ootempants works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ootempants slips a jab from Barbosa.

Barbosa misses with a looping right.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ootempants! But no joy.
Ootempants fails to land the takedown.
Barbosa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Ootempants tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barbosa defends well and Ootempants ends up having to push Barbosa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ootempants is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Barbosa with a body shot.
Barbosa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barbosa misses with a straight left.
A little jabbing left from Ootempants on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Barbosa throws a right and a left that both miss.

Barbosa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barbosa throws a lazy right hand but Ootempants sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ootempants pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Barbosa back to the cage. Ootempants follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Barbosa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Barbosa just misses with a punch to the body.
Barbosa throws a low kick, looking for Ootempants's leg but Ootempants calmly moves out of range.
And Ootempants tries to counter it with a takedown but Barbosa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Ootempants closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barbosa's guard.
Barbosa is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Armored Fitness & Sparring that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Barbosa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ootempants stands and throws Barbosa's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Ootempants lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Barbosa down.

Ootempants has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Barbosa!
Ootempants is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Barbosa is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Barbosa flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ootempants anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Barbosa and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ootempants slips an arm under Barbosa chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ootempants has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ootempants is squeezing on Barbosa like an anaconda would it's prey. Barbosa fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Peter Ootempants!
Peter Ootempants made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Whotempants? Ooooootempaaaaaants!!!! '.
