The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Diaz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Stone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Diaz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stone content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Diaz has locked up a guillotine! Diaz's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Stone is holding on here and Diaz must be using up a lot of energy. Stone has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Diaz gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
