PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adan Schiff (ranked 678 p4p, 1674 weight class) and Gilbervan Soares (ranked 94 p4p, 233 weight class). Schiff comes to the cage accompanied by Havana. Gilbervan Soares told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Soares has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Schiff is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Gilbervan Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Soares rushes Schiff and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Soares's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Soares shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Soares slips a nice elbow through Schiff's hands, connecting with Schiff's forehead.

Soares looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Schiff with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Schiff is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soares scores with a big shot! Schiff's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Schiff! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
