John tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Perera's elbow.

John pushes off an throws an elbow but Perera leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

John cracks Perera with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Perera tries to clinch up.
John throws a lazy uppercut
and Perera counters with a nice uppercut.

Perera feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends John sprawling to the canvas! John rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Perera finish him?!

John is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Perera sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through John's defenses. It connects perfectly with John's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kusal Perera!
A very excited looking Kusal Perera made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
