Pomo tries to keep at a distance but Castro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pomo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Castro throws a looping overhand right but Pomo ducks down to avoid it.
Pomo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pomo shoots in looking for a takedown but Castro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pomo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Pomo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castro's waist but Castro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pomo off to one side.

Pomo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castro as he jumps to the side.

Castro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pomo manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Castro. Pomo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Castro rushes Pomo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Pomo decides to pull guard.

Castro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pomo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Castro, into his guard.

Pomo won't allow Castro to sweep him here.
Pomo tries to free his leg and advance position but Castro is retaining full guard.

Castro keeping moving, preventing Pomo from controlling successfully.
Pomo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pomo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Castro is trying to control the position but Pomo postures up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Castro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pomo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fidelity Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
