Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tu Barrels (ranked 2203 p4p, 2478 weight class) and Paul Starker (ranked 96 p4p, 106 weight class). Starker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Catrin O'Neill - Ar Lan Y Mor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Starker!

Starker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barrels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
It looked like Barrels was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Starker.
Starker is looking to clinch but Barrels is avoiding it.

and Barrels counters with a three punch combo that has Starker backing up. Starker nods at Barrels to acknowledge the strikes.
Paul Starker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Starker just misses with a elbow thrown towards Barrels's brow.

I was talking to Barrels's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
